News

In cross-border electronics trade, details make or break deals—especially in Korea’s quality-obsessed market. Recently, we inspected a batch of multifunctional magnetic stands for a top Korean digital brand, pinpointing key appearance defects to avoid pre-shipment losses and earn lasting trust.

Inspection Background

These slim, portable stands for phones and tablets target office workers and tech enthusiasts. The client stressed: "Magnetic stability is essential, and flawless appearance is non-negotiable—it’s the baseline for the Korean market."
We formed a dedicated team, prioritizing appearance checks (beyond basic function tests) with refined standards to cover every detail.

On-Site Inspection: Hidden Defects Exposed

Initial checks looked fine, but rigorous inspection uncovered these flaws:

Defect 1: Scratches, Dent Marks, Poor Painting & Uneven Surface

Side lighting revealed fine scratches, subtle dent marks and uneven surfaces on aluminum bodies. 15% of samples had poor painting—mismatched anodized colors between body and edges— a turnoff for Korean consumers.

Defect 2: Burrs & Poor Painting on Edges

Rounded edges (for comfort) had 0.1mm burrs and uneven surfaces from shoddy polishing. Worse, poor painting caused exposed metal— a glaring craftsmanship defect.

Defect 3: Adhesive Residue & Uneven Surface in Magnetic Area

The core magnetic zone had stubborn adhesive residue, which marred appearance and created an uneven surface that traps dust over time.

Targeted Rectification & Re-inspection

We shared defect reports with the client and worked with the factory on fixes:
  • Scratches, dent marks, poor painting & uneven surface: Re-screen materials, enhance product protection, re-anodize and polish defective units for a uniform finish.
  • Burrs & edge poor painting: Add "fine polishing + manual check" to smooth uneven surfaces, upgrade painting, and conduct visual/tactile inspections.
  • Adhesive residue: Optimize assembly with "alcohol wipe + UV clean" post-glue curing for a clean, flat magnetic area.
We supervised rectification and re-inspected until all standards were met. The batch shipped to Korea on schedule.

Client Feedback

"This inspection was a game-changer! Without it, defects would have triggered massive returns and ruined our reputation. Your thoroughness gives us total peace of mind—you’re exactly the partner we need." The client sent a thank-you note and confirmed ongoing cooperation.
